925s.ai is an AI-powered silverware appraisal service. We help collectors, sellers, and enthusiasts identify and value antique silverware using hallmark recognition and real auction data. Our website is https://925s.ai and you can reach us at contact@925s.ai.

2. What data we collect

Account data: When you create an account (email/password or Google sign-in), we collect your name and email address.

Uploaded images: Photos you upload for appraisal are processed to generate your report. Images are not shared with third parties beyond the AI services needed to analyse them (see section 4).

Appraisal data: The results of your appraisals — hallmark identifications, valuations, and comparable sales — are stored in your account history.

Payment data: Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store or see your card number. We only receive confirmation of payment completion.

Analytics data: With your consent, we collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, session duration, feature usage) via Google Analytics and PostHog. This data contains no personally identifiable information.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide the appraisal service
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, appraisal results)
  • To improve the product based on anonymised usage patterns
  • To process payments and manage your credit balance
  • We never sell your data. We never use your data for advertising.

4. Third-party services we use

Your data passes through the following third-party processors as part of the service:

  • Stripe (payments) — PCI DSS compliant, US-based. Privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
  • Anthropic (AI analysis) — Your uploaded images and item descriptions are sent to Claude for hallmark identification and appraisal writing. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy
  • Google Gemini (comparable sales research) — Item descriptions are used to search for auction comparables. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Resend (transactional email) — Used to send account and appraisal emails. Privacy policy: resend.com/privacy

  • Railway (hosting) — Our servers run on Railway's infrastructure. Privacy policy: railway.app/legal/privacy

5. Cookies

We use analytics cookies only, and only with your consent. See our cookie notice on the site for full details. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or UK, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw analytics consent at any time

8. Data transfers

Some of our third-party processors are based in the United States. When your data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, it is protected by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards under GDPR.

925s.ai is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
